The city of Mosul, which means in Arabic “the linking point”, is one of the oldest cities in the world.  For millennia, it has been a strategic crossing and a bridge between north and south, east and west.

Mosul is the center of Nineveh province which lies in northern Iraq. Mosul is the second largest city in Iraq, it is 402 km away from the capital, Baghdad. It is bordered by Duhok to the north, Salahaddin to the south, Kirkuk and Erbil to the east, and Syria to the west.
